Vecernje novosti: Serbia to sign SAA with EU on April 28

Belgrade, April 11 (MIA) - The European Union will offer Serbia to sign Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) at the session of Foreign Ministers Council on April 28 in Luxembourg, Vecernje novosti newspaper reads.

Sources of the newspaper said that Serbian President Tadic will accept the offer and will sign the agreement with the EU.

- Tadic will almost certainly accept the offer at the EU Foreign Ministers Council on April 28 to sign this document. Serbian President will call upon Vienna Convention, according to which the head of state has the right to sign international agreements, newspaper sources said.

Tadic's alternative for signing of SAA is Deputy PM Bozidar Gelic who would call upon authority granted by the Serbian Government on Dec. 2007.

The offer to Serbia for signing of SAA could be presented by the European officials during next week, Vecernje novosti reads.
