SSK appoints representative in Great Britain
Skopje, May 12 (MIA) - Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (SSK) has appointed Darko Kamev as its representative in Great Britain, in aim to increase cooperation between countries' companies, as well as the number of British tourists in Macedonia.
According to SSK Chairman Venko Gligorov, Kamev's appointment comes as a result of efforts for export of Macedonian products at the international market, as well as flow of tourists from Great Britain and other EU countries.
He stressed that several tour operators in Great Britain organize packages for the Balkan countries, but Macedonia is not on their map.
Darko Kamev has lived and worked in London for over 15 years, specializing in marketing and creation of business relations. He has a number of business friends in Britain and experience in international business relations.
Representatives from companies within SSK's Tourism Chamber recently visited Great Britain and met with tour operators.
Chamber president Ognjan Cigovski said that Macedonia has natural and cultural-historic rarities, whereas presentation would focus on natural and artificial lakes, mountains, hotels, churches, monasteries, mosques, as well as possibilities for alternative tourism, speleological and hunting clubs.
Moreover, SSK will use part of the financial assistance provided by the British Embassy to Skopje in order to bring Britain's largest tour operators, acquaint them with Tourism Chamber members and possibilities for British tourists in Macedonia.
