Coalition "Sun" presents MP candidates in Dracevo, Kriva Palanka

Skopje, May 16 (MIA) - SDSM-led Coalition for Europe "Sun" held late Thursday a rally in Skopje settlement Dracevo.

Leading candidate in the first election district and SDSM leader Radmila Sekerinska said the coalition does not offer words, but guaranties, which include a NATO invitation in six months and beginning of EU accession talks.

She told Dracevo citizens to believe in politicians' results, not their promises.

According to Sekerinska, this is a time when we decide after looking in the pockets.

"If the pocket is full, those citizens will come out and vote for the ruling parties, but if the pocket is empty, as is among majority of people in Dracevo, they will come out and vote for changes. Appreciate politicians not according to their promises or words, but according to results", underlined the SDSM leader.

"Do we want, are we ready to wait 15 or 20 years, when young people will forget about their youth, children will lose chances that all of their regional peers have. Therefore, I only promise what I can fulfill", stated Sekerinska.

LDP candidate in the first election district Risto Penov said the Government's economic policy has resulted in increase of the unemployment rate, sharp price increase, and growing inflation.

New Alternative leader Gjorgji Orovcanec stressed that Macedonia has acquired 35,000 more unemployed and less investments in the past two years.

According to MP candidates in the first election district, June 1 will be a day of bold decisions, a day, "when Macedonia will come back on the right track".

Sun-Coalition for Europe also presented Thursday MP candidates in the third election district at a rally in Kriva Palanka.

"Our election program puts special emphasis on the social sector, promoting pensioners, not the state, as managers of the common pension fund", said front-runner Tito Petkovski.

He said they would make changes in the Law on Health, thus enabling free check-ups and medicines for people over the age of 64, especially for those with pulmonary diseases.

"We will be fully committed to establishing order in the pension system. We will adopt a law on lowest salary amounting to Denar 8,100, as well as adopt a law on workers in bankrupt companies", underlined Petkovski.

Earlier, "Sun" coalition representatives met with villages of Rankovce and Konopnica, and paid a visit to the new production facility in former textile factory "Karpos".
