NATO entry under Macedonian name - "Sun" front-runner in sixth election district
Gostivar, May 16 (MIA) - Leading candidate in the sixth election district of Sun-Coalition for Europe, Igor Ivanovski met Friday with people from the Gostivar region.
"If they are that much interested under which name would Macedonia join NATO, the answer is simple, under Macedonian. SDSM obtained the candidate-status under name Republic of Macedonia in 2005, faced with the same veto threats by Karamanlis. In Bucharest, Nikola Gruevski lost the name and returned with a veto", stated Ivanovski in response to VMRO-DPMNE's question how would the coalition carry Macedonia into NATO in six months.
Coalition for Europe-Sun resumes its tour through Gostivar settlements Beloviste and Ciglana, followed by Kicevo region villages Midinci and Popovjani.
