President Crvenkovski at SEECP meeting in Bulgaria
Skopje, May 20 (MIA) - President Branko Crvenkovski will participate at the meeting of heads of state and government of participating countries in the Southeast Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), which will take place on May 20-21 in the town of Pomorie in Bulgaria.
The meeting will be chaired by Bulgaria's Vice Premier and Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin, while Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev will serve as host.
The Bulgarian official SEECP presidency for the period 2007-2008 will be completed with this meeting.
Moldavian President Vladimir Voronin, Greece's PM Costas Karamanlis, his Montenegrin and Croatian counterparts, Milo Gjukanovic and Ivo Sanader respectively, have confirmed their participation at the two-day forum.
It is confirmed that Hido Biscevic (Secretary General of Regional Co-operation Council for South Eastern Europe), Erhard Busek (Special Coordinator in SEE Stability Pact), as well as officials of the UN administration in Kosovo will also attend the meeting.
The Southeast Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) was established in 1996 as a regional forum for SEE countries. It aims at deepening the cooperation amongst its members, preserving peace and stability, strengthening of pro-European forces in the region and harmonising its members toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
SEECP member states are Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, BiH, Croatia, Moldova and Montenegro.
The SEECP presidency rotates every year. Macedonia chaired the organisation in the period between 2000-2001.
