Don't forget that Spain is Macedonia's friend and supporter - Madrid officials
 Madrid, September 25 (MIA) - Vice Premier for European Affairs Ivica Bocevski met late Wednesday with State Secretary for European Affairs Diego López Garrido, MIA reports from Madrid.
"We got a very interesting message: don't forget that Spain is Macedonia's friend and supporter, and Spain wants to see Macedonia in the European family. We were also assured that enlargement will be one of the top priorities of Spain's EU Presidency in the first half of 2010, but also of preceding and subsequent presidencies", said Vice Premier Bocevski after the meeting.
Bocevski presented Macedonia's case regarding the meeting of EC benchmarks, the country's Euro-Atlantic perspective, as well as the domestic general climate regarding European integration.
"We are sure that we have reaffirmed our positions in Spain, and our task in the upcoming period will be their enhancement. This will be one of the indicators for assessment of my work and the operations of the Secretariat for European Affairs", added Bocevski.
According to him, Macedonia is preparing early, and that is why meetings related to the Swedish and Czech EU Presidencies will follow in the upcoming period.
"The crucial thing this time was to obtain strong messages from Spain's capital", stressed the Vice Premier, adding that Macedonia and Spain have excellent experiences related to IPA, whereas official Madrid has given its support in regard to the management of European funds.
"Spain has a lot to offer. All those who visited the country prior and after the European experience can see the difference. Therefore, we want to be engaged in projects pertaining to management of European funds, but also asked for assistance in the administration sphere", stated Bocevski.
Earlier in the day, Vice Premier Bocevski met with Chairperson of the Senate's Foreign Policy Committee, Rafaela Fuentes Garcia, as well as with other Senators and members of the Congress of Deputies.
