MoI Jankuloska opens "Anti-Human Trafficking Week"

Skopje, December 2 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Gordana Jankuloska opened Tuesday "Anti-Human Trafficking Week in Macedonia", on occasion of December 2 - International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.

Minister Jankuloska announced that the MoI and the Secretariat of the National Commission for fight against human trafficking and illegal migration will hold series of debates, lectures and promotions through December 9, aimed at raising the public awareness on the threat of human trafficking in Macedonia.

In the framework of the "Anti-Human Trafficking Week", a number of preventive activities will be carried out in 16 municipalities throughout Macedonia, encompassing diverse categories of citizens.

Activities are supported by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), International Organization for Migration (IOM), International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), as well the Red Cross and all NGOs-members of the Secretariat of the National Commission for fight against human trafficking and illegal migration.
