Fawcett’s 3 year battle of anal and liver cancer has finally ended and friends, fans and family are in the stages of mourning.

Farrahs fight began back in September of 2006 and was claimed to be free of the illness for 4 months then the cancer was reported to have come back in the liver this time as well.

As Fawcett went through this difficult journey she had her friends film a documentary of her fight with the illness. “Farrah’s Story” was aired this past May that brought about 9 million viewers. Farrah had hopes that this diary would encourage those that are struggling with the same battle as she did.

It was reported that Ryan O’Neal and Farrah had plans to get married once she had gained enough strenghth. Unfortunatly the wedding bells won’t be ringing now, but hymns will be played to celebrate the life that Farrah had and the joy she had brought to so many friends and family.

In a recent interview O’Neal had mentioned that seeing Farrah with all the strenghth she had with determination to defeat the cancer, it had made him fall in love with her all over again.

Both of the former stars have a 24 year old son together who resides in a California jail, because of drug charges.

Farrah was loved not just by her family and close friends, but to many people across the world who’s lives she had touched.
