Public Residential Enterprise to boost productivity by transforming in two joint-stock companies
Skopje, July 3 (MIA) - Macedonia's Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties will be transformed into two state-owned joint-stock companies with a possibility to privatise the company in charge of managing state-owned commercial properties. The other company will be in charge of constructing and managing residential and commercial facilities that are of special importance for Macedonia and will remain in ownership of the state.
This is envisaged in the draft-law on the transformation of the Enterprise, which was presented Friday at a press conference by Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski and Enterprise's director Vladimir Bahcovanovski.
The transformation will enable more effective work within the Enterprise and will cut down unproductive costs without causing social shocks for the employees.
- The Law on Enterprise's Transformation aims at ensuring more effective and more rationalised application of the state residential policy, settlement of housing issues for the citizens of socially vulnerable categories and better maintenance of existing state-owned residential and commercial facilities, stated Janakieski.
Director Bahcovanovski said the Enterprise through joint-stock companies on the market would communicate more effectively with international funds in order to realise its residential and commercial policy.
The transformation of the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties completes the process where all public enterprises under the umbrella of the Transport Ministry have been transformed into joint-stock companies following the example of other European countries.
