Ten percent of Albanian children not vaccinated

Tirana, July 2 (MIA) - Around of 10% of the children in Albania are not vaccinated, MIA reports from Tirana referring to the study prepared by the Albanian Health Ministry which implies that 90% of newborn children are vaccinated in the country.

Ministry said that rural areas and members of Roma ethnic community represent biggest problem for immunisation.

Children from Roma nationality are not registered in Birth Registry and belong to category of citizens that visit doctor at least.

Ministry said that Roma population and citizens of remote rural areas are under intensive health supervision.
