FM Poposki meets high American-Jewish Committee representative Baker

Skopje, 12 March 2012 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki held talks Monday with Rabbi Andrew Baker, Director of International Jewish Affairs for New York-based American-Jewish Committee.

Poposki briefed the guest about Macedonia's strategic foreign policy priorities - building of good-neighbourly relations, commitment to stability, security and prosperity of all Balkan countries and clear prospect for their full integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Poposki and Baker shared opinions on Macedonia's bilateral relations with the United States and Israel, as well as the current developments in Middle-East.

Macedonia's Government is interested in resuming the successful cooperation with the American-Jewish Committee, considering their common visions for global peace, security, democracy and prosperity, Poposki said.
