Mogherini, Thaci discuss EU-Kosovo ties

Brussels, 18 December 2014 (MIA) -  EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini held talks Thursday in Brussels with Kosovo's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci.

"We had the opportunity to exchange views on Kosovo's progress. We agreed that, now that there is a new government in Pristina, work should resume at an intensified pace in the EU reform agenda so that good progress can be made in the next year," said Mogherini in press statement after the meeting.

She and Thaci also discussed about the resumption of the high level meetings for normalizing the ties between Kosovo and Serbia.

Mogheirni said she intended to invite the two prime ministers for the next high level meeting already in January.

"I look forward to working very closely with Hashim Thaci and the new leadership in Kosovo in the coming period," she said.
