PM Gruevski congratulates Passover holiday to Jews in Macedonia

Skopje, April 8 (MIA) - Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski congratulated the great Jewish holiday Pesach (Passover) to members of the Jewish community in Macedonia in a note sent Wednesday.

- Deeply appreciating the commitment given by the Jewish community in Macedonia in strengthening and fostering the favourable interconfessional and multi-ethnic relations, I am convinced that in the future we will continue to work together to promote the spirit of freedom, tolerance and mutual respect amongst the citizens of Macedonia, reads Gruevski's note.

The PM wishes the Jews in Macedonia to celebrate Pesach with peace in their hearts and tranquility in their souls.

- Let this holiday, which is a symbol of freedom for the Jewish people and marks a passing towards a fresh beginning, bring you many new successes, health, happiness and understanding, says Gruevski.
