Macedonia and Croatia have real chance for speedy EU admission, adviser to Czech PM says

Prague, February 28 (MIA) - The EU accession towards Macedonia is not fair. The country basically meets all requirements to join the Union. Only Greece is blocking her because of the name, says Marek Mora, Deputy Vice Prime Minister for European Affaires in Czech Government.

He added that agreements clearly say that all member states must agree with the EU enlargement.

Regarding the admission of the Balkan states in the EU, Mora said that Croatia and Macedonia mainly have real chance for relatively speedy admission in the EU, MIA reports from Prague.

The Czech Republic in the next 5 years will significantly influence the issue of enragement of the EU due to the fact that the Czech Stefan Fule holds the position of EU Enlargement Commissioner.

For Mora the election of the Czech candidate is logical step by the EC President Jose Manuel Barroso and according to his opinion he is aware that the international cooperation between the EU and further EU enlargement is an issue that Czech is occupied for longer period and that during Czech EU Presidency great attention was paid in this sphere.
