Former Parliament Speaker Ljupco Jordanovski passes away
Skopje, 8 October 2010 (MIA) - Former Parliament Speaker Ljupco Jordanovski passed away in Skopje on Thursday at the age of 57.
Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski has extended condolences on behalf of the MPs to Jordanovski's family. A commemorative session will be held in the Parliament on Friday.
Besides his career as professor, Jordanovski was also an MP and ambassador to the United States. He was a long-standing member of SDSM, but left the party and founded the Party of Free Democrats in 2007.
Ljupco Jordanovski was born in Stip on February 13, 1953. He graduated at the Zagreb-based Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics and obtained his PhD at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Jordanovski is survived by his wife and three children.
