Poll: VMRO-DPMNE 23.5%, SDSM 13%, DUI 7%

Skopje, 1 March 2011 (MIA) - If parliamentary elections were held tomorrow, 23.5 percent of respondents would vote for VMRO-DPMNE, followed by SDSM-13 percent, DUI-7, DPA-3.2, ND-2, and LDP-1.1, with 27.7 refraining from the vote, whereas 20.8 percent failed to give an answer, shows a telephone poll by the Institute for Political Research.

Pertaining to the politician they trust the most, 24.1 percent of respondents chose Nikola Gruevski, 9.2 percent Branko Crvenkovski, 6.9-Ali Ahmeti, 2.9-Menduh Thaci, 2.2-Imer Selmani, 1.1-Rufi Osmani, whereas 38.3 percent of those polled do not believe any politician.

When asked about the opposition's Parliament boycott, 61.8 percent do not justify it, 26.4 percent believe it is justified, while 11.8 percent failed to answer.

Taking into consideration current political developments, 55.1 percent of respondents believe early elections should be scheduled, 36.5 percent are against the vote, while 8.4 percent do not have an answer.
