Kosovo Assembly adopts resolution on Montenegro border demarcation

Pristina, 26 June 2015 (MIA) - Kosovo Assembly adopted Thursday draft-resolution on demarcation of the border with Montenegro submitted by parliamentary group of the Ramush Haradinaj’s party Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Kosovo media report.

The resolution which foresees border between Kosovo and Montenegro to be according to 1974 Constitution was supported by 72 members of parliament and nine voted against.

The resolution also includes proposal by Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci on start of demarcation of border with Serbia as well according to 1974 Constitution.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Thaci during the debate on the demarcation of the border with Montenegro, following criticism by the former leader of the Movement "Self-determination" Albin Kurti said that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Kosovo are guaranteed by the Constitution and that the state is now recognized by 111 countries.
