Troops, 4 Canadair planes fighting wildfire on south Croat coast

Zagreb, 19 June 2017 (MIA) - About 50 troops of the Croatian Armed Forces on Monday joined firefighters in fighting a wildfire near the southern coastal town of Makarska, Hina news agency reported.
Four Canadair planes have also been engaged in fighting the blaze.
An additional 50 troops are on the alert and will be deployed to join firefighters if necessary.
All in all, there are about 350 firefighters in the Makarska area.
Tourists in the area who were evacuated from three hotels on Sunday night have returned to their hotels, Hina was informed by the director of one of the hotels.
