PM Rama: Albania stands for dialogue with all countries in the region

Paris, 16 October 2014 (MIA) - Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama told France 24 Thursday that his brother didn't take part in the drone incident at the football match Serbia-Albania and stories about that were 'ridicules'. Tirana, he said, is committed to a dialogue with all nations in the region.

He said developments during the match presented a desperate attempt to blame the Albanians for the incident, which is a shame, as the match turned into an arena of unacceptable racist and ethic violence.

Rama expressed regret as the Serbian Government, instead of condemning the violence and distance itself from 'this show that is unacceptable for Europe', decided to follow the rhetoric of fans and people who ruined the image of football and their own country.

"We have made a different decision to act as Europeans and to not respond to nationalistic and brutal rhetoric, but to continue on our road to the future, promoting peace, cooperation and dialogue with all nations in the region," Rama said.
