Nine arrested in police operation against organized crime in BiH

Sarajevo, 22 October 2014 (MIA) – Nine people suspected of organized crime in relation to embezzlement and corruption have been arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a large-scale police operation.

Members of the group are suspected of extracting money with false contracts and making an illegal profit of over five million euros for alleged acquisition of TV rights and services which were mainly not realized.

Over 100 members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency and the police forces have searched 17 facilities in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Posuse and Grude. The investigation was conducted in cooperation with the police and judicial organs in Slovenia and Croatia.
