Macedonia, BiH sign agreements on readmission and police cooperation

Ohrid, March 21 (MIA) - Macedonian Minister of Interior Affairs Gordana Jankulovska and Bosnian Minister of Security Tarik Sadovic signed Friday in Ohrid agreements on readmission and police cooperation.

The police cooperation agreement refers to the fight against organised crime, human trafficking, arms and narcotics.

Both ministers assessed the ties and cooperation established between Macedonia and Bosnia & Herzegovina as exceptionally good, adding that there weren't any open questions between the countries.

- The Republic of Macedonia, since it meets the criteria for NATO membership, will offer its experiences to Bosnia & Herzegovina, stated Jankulovska, while Sadovic expressed his optimism that Macedonia would get its NATO invitation.

Jankulovska and Sadovic said they believed the future cooperation would further intensify and strengthen.

When asked in relation to Bosnia's recognition of Kosovo, the Bosnian Security Minister said that "BiH's state policy is quite moderate and restrained. In Bosnia a third of the citizens are of Serbian nationality and due to the sensitivity of this issue, we've decided not to rush things. We'll wait for the right moment and we are willing to reach a political consensus on the issue in BiH. The European community and our neighbours understand our stance, said Tarik Sadovic.
